S AND T INSTALLATION
Rudolf Arnheim:
"...our attention is directed mostly toward objects and their actions, the debt owed to LIGHT is not widely acknowledged. We deal visually with human beings, buildings, trees, not with the medium generating their images. Accordingly even artists have been much more concerned with creatures of light than with light itself."
Art and Visual perception, Berkeley; Los Angeles; London: University of California Press, 2004 / page 303
While I work in a range of painting and other media, the common thread connecting them is light and philosophical questioning about human perception through vision and fascination with the primacy of light.
Light is the only tangible thing that can be traced back to the beginnings of creation. It is therefore not a symbol for something else but the very embodiment of creative energy.
"S installation" emanates an inner luminescence that seems to reflect our own shifting sense of internal energy and pulse in concordance with the universe to which we belong.
In the darkness, the luminosity of the works is raised to a very high intensity. The painted objects are surrounded by an aura of light and the surrounded space is radiate in colored light.
